Personal Data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
We only collect data that is necessary for its intended purposes. Mandatory information is marked in the forms. The Personal Data we collect and hold includes:
We do not ask for special category data (such as data about health, ethnic origin, political opinions or religious beliefs) and ask that you do not include it in your enquiry.
The cost calculator on our product pages runs in your browser. The figures you enter in it, including a zip code, are not sent to us or stored.
We collect Personal Data directly from you when you fill in a form on our website, or contact us by email or telephone. If you give us Personal Data about another person, please ensure they know you are doing so and point them to this Privacy Policy.
We use Personal Data for these purposes, on the legal basis shown for each:
If you do not provide the information marked as mandatory, we may not be able to handle your enquiry.
ATV Power Ltd is the holding company of the ATV Power group. Our website presents the group’s products, but we do not sell them ourselves: each product is supplied by the group company responsible for it. When you send us an enquiry, we pass it to that company:
Once we have passed your enquiry on, that company is responsible for your Personal Data as a separate controller. It handles your data under its own privacy policy, including how long it keeps it. Where your enquiry is best handled locally, it may pass your details to an authorised dealer or distributor in your country.
We delete our own copy of your enquiry within 2 months of passing it on, except the details we keep for marketing if you ticked the box (see Section 5).
If you tick the box on our enquiry form, ATV Power Ltd and the group company handling your enquiry may send you news, offers and event invitations relating to the ATV Power group’s products. The box is optional and not ticked in advance. We will not send you marketing unless you tick it.
For marketing, we keep your name, email address, country, the products you are interested in, and a record of when and how you gave your consent. We keep this for as long as you remain subscribed. You can opt out at any time by following the opt-out process in a marketing communication, or by emailing us at enquiries@atv-power.com.
To carry out the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, we may make Personal Data available to:
We do not sell Personal Data.
Some recipients are outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area (EEA), including Formspree and Cloudflare (United States) and group companies in Canada and the United States. Where a transfer is not covered by UK adequacy regulations (or, for data protected by the EU GDPR, a European Commission adequacy decision), we use the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum issued by the UK Information Commissioner, or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for details of these safeguards using the contact details in Section 10.
We hold Personal Data electronically. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Data from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
We delete enquiries received through the website from our own systems, including our form provider and email, within 2 months of passing them to the group company handling them. That company keeps your data as set out in its own privacy policy. If you become a customer or supplier, we keep your data for the term of our contract with you and for as long afterwards as the law requires.
Unless the law requires otherwise, or we need the Personal Data to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, we take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify Personal Data that is no longer required.
We do not set cookies ourselves and do not use analytics or advertising trackers. Some third-party content on our pages may do so when you choose to use it, as described below.
Like any website, the servers that deliver our pages receive technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., processes this information to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Some product pages include videos hosted on YouTube, a service of Google. The video does not load until you click on it. When you do, your browser connects to YouTube, which receives your IP address and may store cookies or similar information on your device. Google uses this information in line with its own privacy policy. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which limits the information YouTube collects before you play a video.
When you submit a form, the information is transmitted to us by Formspree Inc., which processes it on our behalf.
Our website contains links to other websites, including those of our group companies and partners. When you follow a link to another website, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. Your use of that website is subject to its own rules and policies, and we are not responsible for its content or conduct.
As provided by applicable data protection law, you may have the following rights:
To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details below, with enough detail for us to understand your request. We will respond within 30 days.
